Senior Software Engineer. Develop customer-facing mobile and desktop applications for this groundbreaking solar energy firm, leading the "Rooftop Revolution." Sites include the interactive iQuote, which enables customers to receive a quote for solar installation without a home visit. Additional customer-facing functionality to explore financial savings, measure environmental impact, follow along with the installation process, monitor energy produced by their home's solar panels in real time, and participate in the "Sunshine Network," a social application to spread awareness and penetration of residential solar. Accomplishments include integrating our customer-facing websites, built with AngularJS, with a Salesforce back-end and a Scala middle-layer REST API. Managed content and UX front-end applications, and a Visual Force (APEX) Salesforce CMS. AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, CakePHP MVC framework, jQuery, and MySQL. Assembla and JIRA for agile & scrum project management; Git for shared code repositories.
Founder. Web design and development firm. Extensive skills and background with programming and design. Beautiful websites from scratch to launch. For diverse client projects, I have taken Photoshop mock-ups into concise hand-coded HTML, created pixel-perfect CSS sheets, implemented mobile-friendly HTML 5, and set up real-time form updating and UI integration via AJAX, hand-coded Javascript, and Javascript libraries such as jQuery. Developed full-stack custom content management tools to control websites via ColdFusion and MySQL. Hand-coded theme templates and navigation functions for WordPress in PHP.
Webmaster. Developed the websites for this progressive think tank and social justice organization, including the launch of the website for The Purpose Prize, a major movement-starting prize program that awarded $500,000 annually to five socially-engaged seniors across the United States to fund inspirational and ground-breaking projects. Perfected cross-browser DHTML for the sites experiencecorps.org and civicventures.org. Worked with JQuery libraries in our public-facing Drupal site encore.org. Developed RSS feeds for "In the News" media articles via XML and XSLT.

Created graphic design templates, wrote interactive Javascript client-side scripts, coded ColdFusion database references, engineered SQL reports on a 400+ table relational database, and managed Bank of America e-commerce transactions. I conceived and implemented various projects ranging from ASA's own research, conference, and publications websites, to membership database interfaces, to graphic-intensive stand-alone websites for our partnerships with organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control.

Garlic & Grass. San Francisco, California. 2002-2004 Publisher & Webmaster. Conceived the format, look-and-feel, and editorial direction for this online poltical magazine. "A Grassroots Journal of America's Political Soul." Wrote many articles myself, acquired permission for others, and assigned to other writers the writing of the rest. Figures I've interviewed include Green supervisor Matt Gonzalez, author David Ray Griffin, and presidential candidate David Cobb.
